Lindsay Lohan wants to star in a remake of ‘Thelma and Louise’ with Jennifer Lawrence.

The ‘Mean Girls’ actress was so impressed with blonde beauty’s “genius” performance in this year’s ‘Hunger Games’ movie that she is keen to act alongside her in a remake of the 1991 crime drama – which starred Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon as the titular characters – in a similar style to that of 1994 drama ‘Natural Born Killers’.

She wrote on twitter: “Jennifer Lawrence in “The Hunger Games” is genius. I want to do Thelma&Louise w/her but ala Natural Born Killers (style wise) 2 girls-2 guys (sic)”

Lindsay – who recently wrapped on TV movie ‘Liz & Dick’, which sees her play a young Elizabeth Taylor – is currently shooting alongside James Deen in the Bret Easton Ellis-written movie ‘The Canyons’, which tells the story of hedonistic youths in Los Angeles.

The 26-year-old beauty has channelled a number of legendary Hollywood actresses during her performance in ‘The Canyons’, which has impressed director Paul Schrader.

In a post on his Facebook account, he wrote: “Working with her every day on varied scenes, I’ve been making a mental checklist of classic movie performances she’s touched upon.

“There has been a lot of Ann-Margret, some Gena Rowlands and Faye Dunaway and of course some bits of Liz Taylor and [Marilyn] Monroe, as well as a little Rita Hayworth and even Gene Tierney.”

After a series of images from Liz & Dick, promising Lindsay Lohan embrace a way-more-spot-on-than-anyone-anticipated depiction of film icon Elizabeth Taylor, the Lifetime TV movie has released its first trailer. Okay, “trailer” is a strong word. In actuality, it’s just a still shot of Lohan, in costume as Taylor, set to some classy (yet a bit chilling) music. It’s a quick reminder of just how far beyond anyone’s expectations Lohan has actually flown in the capturing of Taylor’s look, and a placement of the mood to which we might be treated when Liz & Dick makes it to air.

The small screen feature will tell the story of Taylor’s notorious romantic relationship with actor Richard Burton, who will be played by Grant Bowler. Watch the trailer below, courtesy of E!, and look out for Liz & Dick on Lifetime this fall.

The 15-second promo aired Thursday night during Lifetime’s “Project Runway” season premiere.

The Liz & Dick actress let loose during her birthday bash at West Hollywood nightclub Bootsy Bellows early Sunday. The party took place one day ahead of her 26th birthday, which she celebrates on Monday.

A little after midnight, the actress, clad in a tight pink minidress, hit up the hotspot with a group of her close friends.

“She sat at her table close to the DJ,” a witness tells Us Weekly. “[Up-and-coming group] Speakerz was there and performed several songs for Lindsay. She was loving them and looked happy and carefree as she danced all around with her friends.”

Later, the star was presented with cake and Sprinkles Cupcakes, and the whole room broke out singing “Happy Birthday.”

“There was a ton of alcohol at Lindsay’s table, however she didn’t appear to be drinking,” the witness adds.

Perhaps it’s good that the headline-making actress is laying low, especially after her scary June 15 incident where she was treated for exhaustion.

“Note to self.. After working 85 hours in 4 days, and being up all night shooting, be very aware that you might pass out from exhaustion & 7 paramedics MIGHT show up @ your door… Hopefully they’re cute. Otherwise it would be a real let down,” Lohan posted to her Twitter following the incident.

Another way the star is soothing her jangled nerves: by smoking two packs of cigarettes on the set of the upcoming Liz & Dick biopic.

“Literally every time she finishes a scene she lights up another cigarette,” a source told Us last month. “You can hear the crew saying, ‘That’s cut — get a cigarette for Lindsay.’ ”

“Lindsay has been working hard, but without the nicotine she probably could not make it through as she appears stressed at times and they do seem to calm her down,” the source added.

Lindsay Lohan certainly has a lot to celebrate this week.

The comebacking actress turned 26 years old on Monday, and production on Lindsay’s Elizabeth Taylor Lifetime biopic Liz & Dick is officially complete!

“We have wrapped principal photography on Liz & Dick and Lindsay Lohan and Grant Bowler’s performances are picture perfect,” producer Larry Thompson told E! News exclusively. “The cinematic drama of the Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton love story which unfolds on screen is much more exciting and everlasting than the drama during production that took place off screen.”

So, what’s LiLo’s take on the fabulous news?!

She’s thrilled!

“Thank you for all the birthday wishes! Also—that’s a wrap on Liz & Dick—thank you to all my fans, crew members, friends & Lifetime!” Lindsay tweeted today.

Thompson also revealed that they combined the wrap party with a birthday party last night, complete with a cake built in the shape of a pyramid and with the message “Happy Birthday to the Queen of the Nile” (in honor of Taylor’s famed Cleopatra performance).

Production on the Lifetime flick hasn’t been totally smooth sailing. Just four days after filming began, Lindsay was involved in a car crash on the way to the Liz & Dick set, sending her to the hospital and her Porsche to the tow yard.

One week later, paramedics were called to tend to the Liz & Dick star, when she was believed to be unconscious in her hotel room. It was later determined that she was fine, just simply “extremely exhausted” and “slightly dehydrated” from the grueling filming schedule.

Congratulations, Linds! We can’t wait to see the final result when Liz & Dick airs on Lifetime Nov. 3.

In “First Point,” his new short film, the artist Richard Phillips combines two of his current obsessions: surfing and Lindsay Lohan. Phillips has worked with the actress and tabloid goddess before, on a 90-second video for Neville Wakefield’s “Commercial Break,” which had a very brief run during the 54th Venice Biennale. And his studio is lined with several larger-than-life paintings of Lohan that came directly out of that particular project. But don’t call Lohan his muse. Lohan, Phillips insists, is his collaborator as much as anyone in the stellar cast of people who worked on the film, including the legendary surf filmmaker Taylor Steele; the professional surfer Kassia Meador, who performs mesmerizingly as Lohan’s body double; the editor Jay Rabinowitz; and Thomas Bangalter, one half of the electro duo Daft Punk, who composed the ominously swelling score. As the trailer implies, “First Point” is at once a surf film and a film noir, an exploration of the California dream and the Hollywood nightmare, worlds that Lohan doesn’t have to pretend to straddle on screen. But no doubt the question on everyone’s lips when “First Point” has its premiere next week at Art Unlimited, the curated section of the Art Basel fair, will be: “Is it art?” And that is just fine by Phillips. “It’s just like in my paintings,” he says. “Because of the actor and the popular culture dimensions of the project, it will give people — especially people in the art world — a real sense of instability with regard to my intentions. Is it a film? Is it an art video? It refuses to announce itself as either.”
