WILD child Lindsay Lohan is turning to Buddhism to get her through her jail hell.

The off-the-rails star, 24, who has been sentenced to 90 days in prison, has decided to seek solace in the religion in a bid to conquer her demons.

An insider revealed: “Lindsay’s been fascinated in the Buddhist faith for a while as several of her inner circle follow the teachings of Buddhism.

“Lindsay’s devastated about the jail sentence and has been crying non-stop. She’s been told to seek spiritual guidance and find her inner peace.

“She’s decided to study the art of meditat­ion so she can stay calm through breathing techniques while she’s in jail.”

In times of need and despair, many celebs have turned to Buddhism, including wayward comedian Russell Brand, 35.

Other celeb followers are Orlando Bloom, 33, Keanu Reeves, 45, and J.Lo, 40.

LiLo will serve the jail sentence for violating the probation terms of her 2007 drugs and alcohol case.

Our source continued: “Her friends have been rallying around her, offering support and encouraging her to keep her strength up and stay positive.
“She is practising yoga breathing techniques to clear the mind and stay calm.”

Celeb pals Kim Kardashian, 29, and Lady Victoria Hervey, 33, have been at Lindsay’s house trying to cheer her up.

LINDSAY LOHAN’s estranged father insists the troubled actress is not the girl he raised just two days after she was sentenced to serve 90-days in jail for violating the terms of her probation.

Michael Lohan has already gone public with his thoughts about the Mean Girls star’s harsh punishment and now he’s taking aim at her after discovering exactly what prescription medication the star is taking.

U.S. TV show Access Hollywood presented Lohan with a list of the pills his actress daughter is taking from her probation report, prompting the worried dad to describe his daughter’s current state of mind as “a dark place”.

Appearing on the show on Thursday (08Jul10), Michael Lohan said, “This is not the girl I raised. She’s gotta start all over again. Get off the prescription meds.”

The pills Lohan is popping includes medication for depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and acid reflux.

Michael added, “That combination will kill her,” and he insists all the pills she is taking are unnecessary: “She was never on medication up to the pinnacle of Mean Girls. My wife Dina and I got divorced, Lindsay started partying and going on medication… (and) she never did a serious movie again… Her life went into a downward spiral.”

And he blames his ex-wife for enabling his daughter’s prescription drug use, telling the show, “I thought she was the best mother when the kids were growing up. She’s turned out to be the worst mother on the planet… She doesn’t think Lindsay has a problem.”

Police were called to Lindsay Lohan’s home on Wednesday following her jail sentencing.

Officers from the West Hollywood Sheriffs Department arrived at the Mean Girls star’s apartment and questioned photographers outside the building.

“We had a call related to the paparazzi outside the building. Apparently someone tried to rush the building but it turned out to be a non-event,” Sergeant Conner of the Sheriff’s Department told X17online.

No arrests were reported at the site, where news vans were seen parked all day after Lohan was sentenced to 90 days in jail for violating her parole.

“It’s just tears me up,” said Michael. “Especially to see that my wife, my ex-wife, is around her and not doing a damn thing to help her.

“I don’t believe the jail poll was warranted,” he went on. “There’s measures she can take now that can put her in a better place if she goes to jail, or even help her not go to jail.”

Michael insists Lindsay is addicted to prescription drugs (she denies it).

He and his attorney are even drafting a letter asking the court to prevent Lindsay from taking prescription drugs to jail with her.

“She should be in a rehab now,” he says. “And what Dina should be doing, and I’m calling her out right now, is she should get the names of the doctors off every prescription, every bottle, and she should turn those names over to the authorities for investigation.”

Lindsay Lohan’s lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley has reportedly resigned from representing the actress.

Holley, who acted for Lohan at her court case on Wednesday, is said to have quit early on Thursday morning but gave no details as to the reason behind the decision.

Sources told TMZ that the 23-year-old will now hire Tiffany Feder-Cohen, a lawyer admitted to the bar last November.

Lohan was sentenced to 90 days in jail for violating the terms of her probation. She will surrender herself on July 20.

Kim Kardashian has reportedly visited Lindsay Lohan at home following a court decision to jail the actress for 90 days.

The Keeping Up WIth The Kardashians star was caught by Radar Online entering and exiting Lohan’s apartment building in Los Angeles on Wednesday night, however she declined to answer questions from the cameramen.

Kardashian tweeted her support to Lohan earlier this week, with Lohan later thanking her for being “such a good friend”.

Lohan was handed the three-month prison term on Tuesday after a judge ruled that she violated the terms of her probation in relation to a 2007 charge. She has been ordered to surrender herself to authorities on July 20 to begin serving the sentence.

Lindsay Lohan could soon have a new role in a reality show featuring her family.

Cameras will follow Lindsay’s mum Dina and her siblings Michael, Aliana (Ali) and Dakota (Cody) for a new TV series, which has yet to be sold to a TV network.

Dina confirmed the news, telling Page Six: “We have already started filming - the show will feature my kids and Lindsay will also appear in some episodes, although she’s very busy filming and promoting her fashion lines.”

Dina, who previously appeared with Ali in another reality series, Living Lohan, hopes the new show will bust some myths about the Lohans.

“The cameras follow us in our daily lives and as we promote our businesses. I want to prove that we are a good, hard-working family and we don’t have the crazy lives that some people claim we do,” she said.

Lindsay Lohan has sparked rumours that she is dating a former member of the Israeli military.

The troubled Mean Girls star has been spotted stepping out with Eilat Anschel, who recently completed a mandatory stretch in the Israeli Army, prompting speculation that they are romantically involved.

Sources divulged to TMZ that their relationship escalated after Anschel proved to be “a shoulder to cry on” for Lohan during allegations that the actress had violated the conditions of her parole by consuming alcohol.

Then rugby player Cipriani, who recently split from British model Kelly Brook, was spotted entering Lindsay’s apartment at around 4am jsut 24 hours after their first date.
And it seems both Lohan, 24, and Cipriani, 22, are making the most of each other’s company.
